Well, quite nice art, definitely a nice style, but as far as animation goes, it was quite poor really. The little proper animation there was was very jerky, and when they were walking, their legs appeared to be spinning around. You have to remember a walk sequence consists of both a forward and backward movement of the legs. If there were a score for cinematography, that would have been a high one though =)

That said, this wasn't bad by any means, but it is very much over-rated (the reviews, not the score). This whole site is just a damn popularity contest and it makes me want to be sick >=(

Hard to rate as one thing, but I'll say some stuff about the individual ones instead =)

There Is No Spoon: Meh, this one was pretty bad really. If it had been submitted as an individual movie I doubt it would get higher than a 2.00, plus, I really hate that stupidly-big-eyes style.

Chateau: Very good actually, although the voice actor really sucked at doing a french accent.

Zion Rave: This one and No Spoon really lowered the overall quality of the movie, although this one had some humorous moments (I couldn't help but laugh at the head falling off).

Burly Brawl: Probably the best of all, this guy has some real animation talent.

The Architect: Mediocre really, although somewhat funny.

Final Fight: Not really up to LF standards, I really liked some of the stuff he did before, but this one just had terrible pacing and wasn't particularly funny. The end quite accurately captured the end of Revolutions though =)

Rather a predicement as to what to vote on graphics. The animation was very very good (although it could quite easily just be copied straight from the film), but the graphics...ugh. The thing is, sprites like that were made 1. because they were unable to make games with anything superior and 2. to fit on a pixel level. In this movie, you had 1 pixel as about 50-100 pixels square, and it just doesn't look nice. Pixel art is challenging because it is in such a small area, it takes time to get it looking just right, and you rather ruin it by enlarging it so much.

Bleh, anyway, you obviously have great potential for frame by frame animation, but personally I didn't think either the pixels or the little sequence at the end did it any justice. You really need to find the right style. Either way, this really shouldnt be above 4.00 in my opinion, but we all know the NG ratings aren't fair, they are just to do with popularity rather than genuine ratings. Good job at fitting in to the NG standards though, although I'm not certain that is a good thing...
